Position overview :

We are seeking an experienced HR Business Partner based in Brossard, Québec, to join our team and provide strategic HR support and guidance at the national and provincial levels. The HR Business Partner will serve as a trusted advisor, collaborating closely with senior leadership, driving HR initiatives, and ensuring the alignment of HR practices across the organization. The successful candidate will demonstrate expertise in handling complex HR issues, implementing diversity and inclusion programs, and contributing to various HR projects.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities :

National Level Support:

  • Act as HR Resource for Transdev Canada Corporate Services.

  • Lead full cycle recruitment for open corporate positions across Canada (i.e.: Senior leadership, expert roles, international roles, etc.).

  • Take ownership of collecting, vetting, and analyzing provincial data related to recruitment, specifically for positions such as drivers, mechanics, and cleaners.

  • Suggest, develop and implement effective practices and initiatives to support local HR in managing large-scale recruitment efforts.

  • Manage processes surrounding disciplinary actions, investigations, and HR policy compliance.

  • Lead annual HR Audit Campaign and develop reports for domestic and international group.

  • Engage in process mapping, optimization and implementing improved HR Processes.

  • Serve as a key point of contact and HR Business Partner for national-level initiatives, providing strategic HR support and guidance.

  • Contribute to national-level HR projects, including HRIS implementation, and talent development initiatives.

  • Collaborate with Transdev Canada during acquisition due diligence and integration processes, ensuring smooth transitions and alignment of HR practices.

  • Act as a trusted support to the VP Talent & Culture, collaborating closely on HR strategies, initiatives, and decision-making processes.

  • Exercise autonomy in decision-making and problem-solving to enhance the effectiveness of the HR function.

  • Mentor and coach junior HR team members, fostering their professional growth and development.

  • Collaborate closely with the VP Talent & Culture in high-level meetings, presentations, and discussions, representing the HR function and providing expert input.

  • Serve as a liaison between the VP Talent & Culture and other stakeholders, departments, and external partners, ensuring effective communication and coordination.

Project Management :

  • Lead and/or support various HR projects and initiatives including ATS implementation, national engagement survey, national annual review exercises, talent development programs, international mandates, diversity and inclusion, and other relevant projects.

  • Support auditing efforts and contribute to other HR-related projects as needed.

Qualifications

Qualifications ans Skills :

To be considered for the HR Business Partner role, candidates should possess the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. A master's degree in a relevant discipline is preferred.

  • Minimum of 5-8 years of progressive experience in human resources, with a focus on HR business partnering and strategic HR initiatives.

  • Strong experience in handling complex HR issues, including disciplinary actions, investigations, and HR policy compliance.

  • Experience in supporting and driving HR projects at a national level.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate and influence stakeholders at multiple levels of the organization.

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to exercise autonomy and drive innovative HR solutions.

  • Proven project management skills.

  • Bilingualism is a requirement.

  • Proficiency in generating reports using Excel and preparing internal communication pieces using PowerPoint and Canva.

  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR, CIPD) is preferred but not required.
