Under the direction of the DriveCam Manager, the DriveCam Coordinator will work with staff and management in responding to unsafe behaviors recorded in DriveCam, and promote a positive safety culture within the workplace.
Review events and submit accurate daily reports to the DriveCam Manager of all recorded events for assigned location in a timely manner.
Provide weekly and monthly updates to the appropriate Safety Department Managers and Director.
Maintain a constant line of communication with the Operations and Safety Department Managers/Directors in regard to accidents, unreported damage and serious events.
Review general settings of system and make recommendations to improve operator safety performance.
Communicate policies to the location management/supervisory team and ensure they are being followed.
Communicate with the location regarding any issues, concerns, recommendations, comments on the use and review of the DriveCam system. Ensure the location is compliant and that the location is getting the information they need in a timely manner.
Adhere to protocol in serious incident and accident reporting which may include forwarding of serious event clips.
Maintain direct liaison with all location managers, the safety group, and maintenance staff regarding DriveCam issues.
Assist with training personnel in the supervisory and analytical review capacity and in the day-to-day operations of DriveCam event review and in the event review process and report procedures.
Report concerns and recommendations to DriveCam Manager/Safety and Training Director on DriveCam issues.
Maintain protocol procedures in reporting serious incidents and accidents to upper-level management.
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the entire DriveCam review and report process.
Coach, counsel, and refer for training and/or discipline, as appropriate, any Driver with behavior inconsistent with Company policies and procedures.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Education, Licensing, and Certifications Required :
A high school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
Possess a valid driver’s license and maintain a satisfactory driving history.
Experience Required :
Experience Preferred :
Experience in a passenger commercial driving environment preferred.
Safety training/teaching experience preferred.
Experience investigating accidents and incidents preferred.
Experience as a bus driver preferred.
Skills and Knowledge Required:
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
Must be able to demonstrate poise, tact, diplomacy, and possess good judgment and discretion.
Ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels of the organization.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint programs. Ability to achieve competency in DriveCam use and review, and competency in using and presenting data in the form of graphs, charts, etc.
Highly organized with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while exceeding established goals and objectives.
Must be detail oriented and possess effective time management skills.
Ability to work with employees to resolve issues, to enhance their professional growth, and to ensure safety compliance.
Travel requirement (as a percent): <30% travel between property locations, and for meetings and outside training.
