Transdev Parts Coordinator I - Colorado in Englewood, Colorado

Distributes ships, receives, and inventories vehicle parts under direct supervision.

Under the general direction of the Director of Maintenance, performs administrative and managerial work, overseeing daily activities required to manage the Parts Department of Transdev.Oversees the various parts duties including the distribution of parts/supplies at counter and posting to work order on computer; shipping and receiving; inspecting for damages and returns if necessary; perform cycle inventory.Provides direction to the Parts Team and is responsible for ensuring efficient operational and administrative processes.

  • Create, edit, receive purchase orders

  • Email Vendors for parts requests, orders

  • Track all parts on the “Parts Tracker” request sheet from the Foreman

  • Establishing a great working relationship with all vendors

  • Ensure inventory control by reviewing parts check out logs, parts being charged to work orders

  • Performing cycle counts daily. Contacting the Director of Maintenance before updating counts in RTA of any items missing over $100

  • Completing a full 100% inventory cycle count every 90 days

  • Conducting a full 100% inventory count at the end of each fiscal year

  • Completely “Month End – EOM” reports at the end of each month. Reports must be pulled at midnight on the last day given by the corporate controller

  • Keeping the parts room and dark side organized, clean, and labeled at all times

  • Removing trash daily

  • Breaking down all pallets and disposing each day

  • Returning cores within 48 hours of being placed on the core shelf

  • Conducting daily fluid level counts of all fluids and ordering as need be

  • Ordering of special tools, supplies, software, etc. for shop, office staff, building

  • Creating outside purchase orders and attaching them to work orders as required (refer to training in Teams for this procedure)

  • Following the purchase order approval process at all times (refer to training in Teams for this procedure)

  • Daily communication with the Director of Maintenance and Foreman about any parts shortages or back ordered items

  • Stocking of all Filter shelves

  • Daily Facility walk throughs

  • Daily Forklift Inspections

  • Daily Tire counts and confirming counts in RTA

  • Daily new battery count and confirming in RTA

  • Sending out parts to vendors to be rebuilt

  • Contacting Vendors to schedule Shop Tools and Facility Repairs

  • Updating ACER Board of all parts related data daily

Other duties as required.


Education, Licensing, and Certifications :

  • High school diploma or equivalent, such as GED, required


  • Valid state driver’s license required

  • Must be able to obtain a forklift driving certification

  • 2 years or more of counter or stockroom experience in an automotive or trucking environment preferred

Skills and Knowledge Required:

  • Highly-motivated and self-directed, with strong leadership skills.

  • Good oral communication skills

  • Ability to read and follow written and spoken instructions

  • General computer database knowledge

  • Basic mechanical knowledge

  • Basic inventory, math, and communication skills

  • Strong attention to details

  • Working knowledge of various applications such as, but not limited to, Microsoft Office, Excel and RTA Maintenance Software.

  • Must be able to multi-task and work well under pressure with tight deadlines.

  • Must be customer focused and a strategic thinker.Must have ability to lead change and have strong skills of influence.

  • Demonstrated success in developing and leading teams, developing strong partnerships with clients/vendors and developing people.

Travel requirement (as a percent): <5% for occasional meetings
