What will you do?
Under the direction of the Director of Human Resources this position will perform a variety of human resources duties for two locations.
Assist with day to day HR operations and provide clerical support to human resources management staff
Strong knowledge and experience with leave administration
Point of contact for HR inquiries
Assist with employee benefits, incentives and compensation administration
Enters new hire data and employee life cycle changes into the human resources information system, time tracking system, as well as other systems in HR
Maintain and update forms dealing with employment and wage verifications, unemployment claims, WOTC, subpoenas, etc.
Maintain confidentiality of all information
Main backup support person for receptionist
What will you need?
Friendly demeanor with a positive can-do attitude
High school diploma or equivalent, such as GED, required.
College, university, or equivalent degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, or related business field preferred.
PHR or SHRM-CP certification a plus
Minimum of 2 years of experience in human resources
Ability to maintain confidential information with diplomacy.
Hands-on experience in a variety of primary human resources processes
Experience in ICIMS, HRIS (ADP or People Soft preferred) and/or payroll processing
Understanding of employment laws, regulations and HR best practices (Title VII, FSLA, ADA, Interactive Dialog, Leaves of Absence, STD/LTD, FMLA, USERRA, etc.)
Strong organizational/project skills, attention to detail, compliance and deadlines
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word
Ability to work well under pressure managing simultaneous tasks and deadlines.
Above average written and oral communication skills
Motivated and collaborative
Able to work independently or with a team
Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
100% of work is accomplished indoors and in air conditioned or well ventilated facilities
Work is accomplished in an office or in a cubicle space equipped with a telephone and computer
The employee is generally subjected to long periods spent sitting, typing, or looking at a computer screen
